My black beauty

You want to know something super annoying? So, for the last like 5 years I have been looking for a recliner. Not just ANY recliner but one that was STYLISH first and foremost. Not one of the big, squishy, been passed down through 4 generations, faded, pink, everyone in san juan county has one, couldn't find any cheaper so I bought this one, its big and comfortable and therefore I like it, I could sleep for days in it, bring me my beer kinda recliners, but a you can't tell I'm a recliner yet I'm still, sexy, comfortable, and small kind of recliners. Now, I also did not want it simply to recline but I also wanted it to be VERY comfy, ROCKING AND SWIVELING. Now, you might say that that is a lot to ask from a lil ol chair but I was determined to find it......And I DID! One day, upon walking into TEMA in albuquerque for a quick "browse" around at everything I could not afford, I found it. There it sat, simple, beautiful, quiet. But, I asked myself, did it rock? DID IT ROCK?!-well, it sure as heck did and not only did it rock but it also SWIVELED!!!! Dream come true!!! It was meant to be mine! It was natuzzi leather ANNNNNND, it came in 3 different colors! I made up my mind then and there that I didn't even care how much it was. It was going to be mine no matter what! That is, until I LOOKED at the price. $1,700.00. For a chair. Notice now it had quickly become a chair not an animate object to take home and love and care for. No, little did I know, money DOES buy you love and I did not have enough to afford my lover. So, with my head hung low, I left the store heart broken and determined to find my lover again someday. This time, at a more affordable price.
Fast forward to about 3 years later and what do I stumble upon.....my natuzzi friend! This time at American home in Farmington! Yay, I couldn't believe it! I had almost been able to block her out of my mind when lo and behold, there she sat. So since it was lil ol Farmington and THREE years later I figured that she HAD to be less expensive......Boy was I wrong! Same sad story-excitement followed by depression. I was beginning to think that our relationship was doomed. But, non-the-less I continued to visit her off and on again for another year or so until one day, I was shopping around the discontinued furniture section at American and THERE SHE WAS! For significantly cheaper! This time I was not going to lose her again. She would be mine, oh yes she would be. So, over the course of the next couple of months I scrimped and saved so that I would soon be able to bring her home with me. Back and forth, much deliberation between colors, cash exchanged, and she was mine! My black leather beauty.
Fast forward another year-ish later....Still in love with my wonderful recliner. Still with the plastic on the footrest so as to preserve her condition for as long as possible. Still admiring her slender grace and beauty. .....I'm walking out of the house after a yummy lunch with the husband and I grab up a sales ad for Ashley furniture. Now, keep in mind that Ashley and I have had an ongoing feud ever since she made the crappy product known as my couch so I'm surprised that I was even wanting to thumb through the pages but I figured "what the heck, I need some ideas for couch designs" (only the designs, not the brand) since I am now in the market for a new leather couch. Scanning, scanning, "that's nice, I like that color, ohhh, look at the piece of coral on that table" and what do my wandering eyes do appear?!?! A black beauty impostor!!!!!! Page 9, bottom right hand corner, a filthy cheap, filthy generic, IMPOSTOR! I am so angry there are not even words. I had waited nearly 1/5 of my life for this chair and someone like Ashley's can go and make some cheap duplicate of it and all of San Juan County would soon be able to acquire its likeness! Oh heck no you di' int! This simply brings a tear to my eye on this dreary day in February not because I will love mine less but because others will never be able to appreciate her pure, elegant, unadulterated splendor for what it truly is. People will now only be viewing her as another one of the masses when she is anything but. But don't worry Black beauty, you will always be the real OG. xoxo

p.s..The first chair is like mine, the real thing, except the cousin to the black beauty, the white beauty and the last is the big FAT impostor!
